Understanding the difference between Tax and Financial Accounting

Net income raises your appeal in search of capital, but the money is now subject to taxes. Where is the balance?

Managing Capital

Every owner believes that they could be more successful if they only had more capital, but how healthy does your business look compared to others in your industry?

Rent vs. Buy

If your business is a means to an end, how do other business owners plan for their exit?

Business Advice

If you feel like you are stuck, maybe having a new analytical tool kit will help shed light on a path forward.

What would you do if you could do anything?

For me, I would own a vineyard and make wine. I have been studying the economics of running a winery for many years as a hobby. My wife and I regularly visited the Napa and Sonoma Valley when we lived in the Bay Area, and now we frequent the wonderful family wineries of the Willamette Valley. Other wine regions we have visited are Livermore, Paso Robles, Carmel Valley, Santa Maria, and Amador Valley.

Connect

My goal is to connect with other like-minded business owners to collaborate wherever possible. Running a business is like building a house. It takes a variety of skills to construct a sturdy asset that will stand the test of time. If any of this resonates, I encourage you to reach out.
